Advanta IRA Holds Nationwide Webinar: Rental Property Investments in IRAs
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) February 02, 2016 -- A self-directed IRA gives plan owners total control over their retirement funds and investing decisions, allowing them to invest in what they know best—within the realm of their own comfort zones. Rental property investments are one example of real estate assets that are permissible in these plans.
Investing in any type of real estate using retirement funds does not require one to pull cash from the account to acquire a piece of investment property. Doing so would be considered a distribution and taking distributions for any purpose before retirement age often incurs heavy penalties or taxation on the withdrawn funds. Instead, payment for investment property is made directly from the plan, and the assets are titled in the name of the retirement plan.
Retirement accounts offer tax-free or tax-deferred income-building potential—the income derived from assets purchased by the plan grows in that tax-sheltered account. “Real estate investors who use self-directed IRAs to acquire assets avoid the tax implications incurred from personally purchasing or selling property and preserve more capital within the plan to reinvest,” says Jack Callahan, managing partner of Advanta IRA.
This webinar is open to all individuals who wish to learn how rental property investments work in self-directed retirement plans.
