Advanta IRA Services Announces Success of Holiday Toy Drive and Continues Fundraising Efforts for Florida Guardian ad Litem Program
Tampa, Florida (PRWEB) December 16, 2015 -- Advanta IRA Services strongly believes in building relationships within their community in an effort to strengthen the community as a whole by helping others.
On December 9, the self-directed IRA firm hosted a client networking event in part to raise awareness of guardian ad litem program in their area. Attendees were asked to bring a new toy to donate to the children this program represents. An abundance of toys were collected that night for the Guardian ad Litem Foundation of Tampa Bay, and were delivered to the foundation the next day.
Additionally, the firm is continuing to increase awareness of the guardian ad litem program: For every “like” a picture of these toys posted on their business Facebook page receives, Advanta IRA Services will donate $5.00 to the foundation. This special promotion began on Thursday, December 10 and runs through Friday, December 18 at 5:pm EST. Since the initial post, the picture has garnered over 133 likes and 25 shares. Jack Callahan, managing partner of Advanta IRA Services, is himself a guardian ad litem in Florida and has been for quite some time. “I have participated in my local guardian ad litem program for a number of years—and while sometimes it is hard to see these children caught up in the system, I am grateful for the opportunity of making a difference in their lives as their representative.” Often these children are either displaced from their homes or involved in unpleasant situations during the holidays, for birthdays, or other special occasions. Toys collected by the company were given to these children in the hopes to bring some happiness to their lives during these times.
