Advocate of “Preventive Lawyering” Steven Certilman Announces Membership in Leading ADR Communities Mediation.com and Arbitration.com
Stamford, CT (PRWEB) May 22, 2014 -- After more than three decades as a champion of “Preventive Lawyering,” the process of proactively avoiding unexpected outcomes and minimizing business risks rather than merely accepting them and reacting to them as they arise, Steven Certilman has re-directed the focus of his practice to arbitration, mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) generally and announced that he has joined both Mediation.com and Arbitration.com.
“I can draw on more than thirty years of experience in legal problem-solving,” said Certilman. “I seek to offer advice and counsel which is both insightful and practical. In his practice, Mr. Certilman has represented both the high-tech fields as well as more traditional brick-and-mortar businesses, dealing with issues including corporate transactions and financings, contracting, real estate, intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation.
A graduate of Hofstra University School of Law, Mr. Certilman is a public speaker, trainer and published author in ADR and an educator on the subject of international arbitration as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Fordham University School of Law. He is a Chartered Arbitrator and Fellow of the London-based Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, which he served as chairman of the Board of Trustees, and a member of major arbitration panels in the United States and worldwide. He has also served as Chair for the Technology Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.
