ADVS-Technologies Files Patent - Intelligent Parallel View LED Pix-Cell, Methods of Configuration and Controls
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- ADVS-technologies, an innovative company, is pleased to file the patent application and begin development of the intelligent ParallelView™ LED illuminated Pix-Cell™. The ParallelView™ LED illuminated Pix-Cell™ is configurable for a variety of applications, providing unique methods of beautifying displays of new and existing art, as well as supporting creation of static and dynamic images on super large scale screens, billboards, etc.
“While discrete LED pixels are the building blocks for a variety of small and medium size displays, it is rather problematic to use LED pixels for creating super large scale displays. In addition, it is not as pleasant to view a large scale billboard from a close distance, in particular when each discrete LED pixel is shooting its light directly into the viewer eyes. In contrast, the patent pending Pix-Cell™ providing ParallelView™ illumination,” says inventor Zack Braunstein, “will create new opportunities to beautify the display of existing or new art, providing soft and user friendly illumination techniques, and as a bonus – will allow creation of super large scale displays, which are relatively easy to assemble and sustain using patented Plug-n-Power™ technology.”
The patent pending application describes also a control system consisting of Pix-Cells™, which can be configured to create in real-time a sequence of dynamic displays or images, potentially approaching video quality reproduction on super large scale screens.
“Since each Pix-Cell™ is configurable, including physical shape of the Pix-Cell™ and its relative position in respect to the illumination surface, and then each LED within the Pix-Cell™ is configurable, including: position of LED within the Pix-Cell™, illumination colors and controls,” continues Braunstein, “the possibilities are great in creating truly unique configurations for each Pix-Cell™ and a group of Pix-Cells™, which can be characterized in their behavior vs. applied controls, and then based on results of characterization, a control algorithm can be created to achieve desired objectives, whether it is related to beautiful illumination of art, or real-time dynamic image streaming on a super large scale screen, 3-D illumination, etc.”
In comparison, for a super large scale display, the method of using patent pending Pix-Cells™ vs. discrete LED pixels, will deliver a solution which is significantly lower in costs, and substantially better in energy efficiency. It’s math, at its best.
