ADW Diabetes Donates Diabetes Testing Supplies To Family Health Care of Siouxland
Pompano Beach, FL (PRWEB) October 07, 2014 -- ADW Diabetes has teamed up with the Family Health Care of Siuoxland to offer diabetes testing supplies for their Diabetes Wellness Fair on October, 11 at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City, Iowa.
This event is a free to the public and offers a world of diabetes information to anyone wanting to learn more about the disease and how to treat it. In addition to stations that will offer free screening opportunities for attendees, there will be informational booths set up at the fair that will allow all in attendance access to educational materials about diabetes. There will also be physicians, nurses, and wellness coaches on hand to answer questions and offer tips to anyone with questions about their personal diabetes treatment plan or the treatment plans of their friends and family. The fair will also feature vendor booths and door prizes which will be free.

ADW Diabetes has provided blood glucose meter kits to be used and given away at the fair. The blood glucose meters will be used as part of the free screenings that will take place. People with diabetes and pre-diabetes need to monitor their blood glucose levels throughout the day, every day, to make sure that their glucose levels remain within an acceptable range so they avoid possible occurrences of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) or hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). A blood glucose monitoring kit contains all of the needed items to begin home testing. These kits will also be provided, for free, to anyone wanting to continue the testing process on their own.
