Aegis Living Names Judy Meleliat New President
Redmond, WA (PRWEB) July 22, 2014 -- Aegis Living, the national leader in assisted living and memory care, announced today the appointment of Judy Meleliat as President.
Meleliat has been with the company since 2010 as the Chief Marketing Officer. She replaces former President and Chief Operating Officer Jerry Meyer, who recently stepped away from his day-to-day operational role after leading the company for more than 13 years. During that time, Meyer significantly grew the company from ten communities to 30 today. He will remain on the Board of Directors at Aegis Living.

As an entrepreneur and seasoned brand manager, she brings a wealth of experience in growing brands, managing highly productive sales teams and a strong drive for innovation to her multi-faceted roles at Aegis Living. Meleliat will oversee Operations, Sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Clinical, Analytics, Life Enrichment and Legal departments.
Meleliat came to Aegis after serving in executive leadership roles with global brands such as Starbucks. There, she was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand when the coffee company rolled out bottled Frappaccino marking the first consumer packaged product line and later introduced Starbucks ice cream. She grew software giant Egghead from its pre-IPO status to a billion dollar company and was on the ground floor of the InSpa franchise. Meleliat also serves as a board member at FareStart, a non-profit organization providing culinary job training and placement programs for homeless and disadvantaged individuals.
Meleliat is now one of the highest ranking women in the assisted living industry. Only five women in the nation hold the position of President or CEO in the top 45 assisted living companies, according to the Assisted Living Federation of America.
