Aerospike Founders to Speak at Velocity Conference 2014
Velocity Conference, Santa Clara, CA (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Aerospike founders Brian Bulkowski and Srini V. Srinivasan will present a session on how to achieve “extreme velocity” and what enterprises can learn from Internet-scale ad-tech platforms. The presentation is part of O’Reilly’s Velocity Conference 2014, which runs June 24-26, 2014, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
ACHIEVING EXTREME DATA VELOCITY
Brian Bulkowski, Aerospike CTO, and Srini Srinivasan, Aerospike vice president of engineering and operations, will lead the session, entitled “Extreme Velocity: What Enterprises Can Learn From Real-Time Bidding”. They will be joined by two Aerospike customers, who will share their real-world experiences: Geir Magnusson, AppNexus CTO and senior vice president of engineering, and Ian Campbell, Neustar director of product management.
The session will cover how the real-time bidding ecosystem—including ad-exchanges, real-time bidding platforms, and data management platforms—work together in enabling enterprises to reach users with the right message at the right time, across devices, media and channels. Second only to high frequency trading when it comes to low latency, these platforms have fewer than 100 milliseconds to use the latest real-time data to bid, win and serve an ad.
Key topics will include how to:
- Apply the combination of in-memory and NoSQL database technology for low-latency access
- Exploit parallelism using a combination of DRAM and flash
- Size deployments precisely for predictable price/performance and configure the system to ensure 100% uptime
- Define operator-friendly procedures for launching a system at Internet scale
The session will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, in Grand Ballroom F at the Santa Clara Convention Center. Find out more about the event.
