Afinia To Show Their 3D Printers and Scanner At TCEA 2016
Chanhassen, MINN (PRWEB) January 28, 2016 -- Afinia will show their award-winning H-Series Desktop 3D printers and white-light 3D scanner at TCEA, booth 2057, February 3–5 in Austin, TX.
In 2014, the H-Series (H480) won “Just Hit Print”, and in 2015, won “Reliable Performer” over 26 3D printers in Make: Magazine’s Ultimate Guide to 3D Printing. The Afinia H-Series is the only 3D printer series to win awards in Make’s 2013, 2014, and 2015 Ultimate Guides.
The Afinia H800 3D Printer features Auto-Leveling Platform Calibration and Nozzle Height Detection and has a 10” x 8” x 8” (254 x 203 x 203mm) build area in a fully enclosed, HEPA-filtered chamber. The heated build platform allows both ABS and PLA filaments to be used, and prints with a layer-thickness as thin as 100 microns (.004”).
Afinia’s 3D printing software supports all the H-Series printers and imports STL files, which can be created or downloaded from a growing number of online libraries. It then automatically generates the support material that the design requires for the print process. Afinia 3D printers use inexpensive plastic filament that is available in more than 20 different colors.
The latest addition to Afinia’s 3D family is the ES360 Desktop 3D Scanner. Using safe, white light scanning, the ES360 is easy enough for anyone to use. Just “click” the start button, and it will turn an object into a 3D model that can then be printed on a 3D printer, like Afinia’s award-winning H480 or H800. The ES360 is also lightweight, at less than 8 lbs., allowing for easy transportation.
“Afinia serves the education market via its Technical Education reseller channel and curriculum providers such as Project Lead The Way and Pitsco, as well as others,” remarked John Westrum, Afinia’s Vice President. “Also, educators are provided a SketchUp workbook with 18 different 3D designing projects for the classroom.”
Afinia is currently recruiting a Technical Education reseller to cover Texas and Oklahoma. If interested, please visit the Afinia booth (#2057) in the TCEA exhibition hall or email [email protected].
