AFP Launches Massive New ObamaCare Ad Effort
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) October 29, 2013 -- Today Americans for Prosperity, the nation’s largest advocate for health care freedom, announced the next wave in a multi-million dollar effort that uses network and cable TV, radio, and web ads to hold politicians accountable for their support of ObamaCare. The new TV ads will focus on the troubling record of Sens. Kay Hagan (D-N.C.) and Mary Landrieu (D-La.), and show how ObamaCare is already hurting millions of American families.
"Lawmakers who have actively worked to bring about the disastrous ObamaCare law need to be held accountable," said AFP President Tim Phillips. "Senators Hagan and Landrieu have steadfastly supported this costly, Big Government nightmare that has reduced choice, raised premiums, and led to the cancellation of health care plans for millions of Americans."

The cable and network TV spots will run across Louisiana and North Carolina for several weeks. They’ll be supported by radio and web ads, as well as robust grassroots action in each state, including door-to-door canvassing and phone banking. Last week, AFP launched similar ads in several House districts across the country (Click here for more information).
“AFP has consistently worked on behalf of our members, helping them voice their frustration over the airwaves as well as on the ground,” continued Phillips. “Our message is clear and simple: politicians who get to Washington and join the Big Government club should expect to be held accountable, and those who stand on the side of the public can count on millions of AFP activists to have their backs. We know this will take a serious, sustained effort, and we're committed to victory in the long term.”
Over the summer, AFP carried out another multi-million dollar effort with a series of four TV ads that highlighted the negative impact of ObamaCare on individuals and doctors.
This latest round of ads also highlights the group's Exempt Me, Too! message, reminding activists to tell lawmakers we can do better than ObamaCare. Hundreds of thousands of AFP activists have already signed a petition at justexempt.me, asking the President for the same special treatment that Big Business, Congress and the well-connected have already begun enjoying under the law.
