Aggreko Kick Starts the Power for 2015 Women's World Cup Broadcast
Houston, TX (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- Aggreko, the world leader in rental power, heating, cooling and oil-free air compressors is powering the 2015 Women’s World Cup tournament being held in six different cities across Canada from June 6 to July 5, 2015.
Aggreko is providing 12 technicians and more than 40 generators totalling 17.6 MW of reliable power to energize the tournament’s on-pitch advertising boards displayed around the ground floor of each stadium field and the Field of Play lighting in Edmonton and Moncton.
Aggreko is also the main power source for the television broadcast in each host city where the matches are played, and to the main International Broadcast Centre (IBC) housed in Vancouver.

When the Women’s World Cup wraps up, Aggreko will shift its focus to Toronto and power the largest multi-sporting event ever held in Canada, The 2015 TORONTO Pan Am & Parapan American Games starting July 10. This will be Aggreko’s third time supporting both the Pan Am & Parapan American Games and the broadcast center with its power systems and temperature control solutions.

We install and operate power plants and we charge our customers both for providing the generating capacity, and for the electricity we produce. We design and manufacture equipment specifically for these requirements in our factory in Dumbarton, Scotland.
Recent customers include the 2014 FIFA World Cup BrazilTM, the XX Commonwealth Games and Cirque du Soleil and the power utilities in over 50 countries including the UK, France, Ivory Coast, Mozambique, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Argentina, Venezuela, Chile, Brazil and the USA.
