AHN, Pirates’ Stars Harrison, Cervelli, and Taillon Invite Public to “Pitch” for Cancer Screening Awareness, “Catch” Pirates Tickets
PITTSBURGH, PA (PRWEB) September 13, 2017 -- Prostate cancer surely ranks among men’s biggest health fears, particularly as they grow older. And with good reason. One in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime, and it ranks as the third-biggest cause of cancer death among men worldwide.
But the good news is that prostate cancer treatment success rates are nearly 100 percent when it is caught in its early stages.
Allegheny Health Network (AHN) and Pittsburgh Pirates’ Josh Harrison, Francisco Cervelli, and Jameson Taillon want to make sure the public knows that and urge men to be screened for prostate cancer. So they are teaming up in an attempt to set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the Largest game of catch, coinciding with the Pirates’ final weekend home series of 2017.
When: Saturday, Sept. 23, 9 a.m. to noon
Where: Outside of PNC Park, on West General Robinson Street between Mazeroski Way and Art Rooney Way on Pittsburgh’s North Shore
