Air Ambulance Company's "My Real Life Moment™" Wins Emmy
Scottsdale, Arizona (PRWEB) October 22, 2013 -- Angel MedFlight Worldwide Air Ambulance took home an Emmy Award Saturday night for its video "The Taylor Collins Project" -- part of the patient story series "My Real Life Moment™," which debuted this summer.
"The Taylor Collins Project" is the inspiring story of a Florida high school student government association rallying to find a medical flight for a schoolmate in need of specialized medical treatment. The video was honored in the Teen (13 and up) - Program Feature/Segment category.
"At its core, 'My Real Life Moment™' is a platform for patients to share their stories and lend their voices to others who experience similar trauma. Our primary focus is to enhance patient advocacy -- we created this with the families in mind, so the fact that this is being recognized regionally is a great honor," said Angel MedFlight Chief Creative Officer, Barry Keyles.
"The Taylor Collins Project" features Gulf Breeze (Fla.) High School student Taylor Collins, who suffers from epileptic seizures. Angel MedFlight videographer Albert Miller shot and produced the video, which was released Sept. 19 over various social media channels.
Miller and Angel MedFlight accepted the award Saturday night at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter's gala in Glendale, Ariz.
