Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing in the US Industry Market Research Report from IBISWorld Has Been Updated
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 19, 2015 -- Over the past five years, the Air Purification Equipment Manufacturing industry experienced several years of uneven sales growth. An expected 1.3% jump in 2015 revenue will bring total industry revenue to $3.0 billion. However, this total will remain well below the prerecession high, representing a 1.0% annualized growth over the five years to 2015. The three main domestic markets (industrial manufacturers, other businesses and consumers) drastically reduced demand for air purification equipment in 2011 as a result of falling revenue due to weak business and industrial demand. Regardless, demand has steadily, albeit slowly, recovered in the years since.
According to IBISWorld Industry Analyst Edward Rivera, “International trade has been a bright spot for air purifier manufacturers.” The appreciating dollar caused exports to shrink during some years of the economic recovery and growth in others, eventually aiding overall revenue growth. In addition, an appreciating dollar has resulted in increased import activity. The dollar began appreciating in value in 2012 and is expected to continue appreciating through 2020. While this will slow export growth and increase import growth in the future, the existing trade deficit will only grow slightly over the next five years.
“In the five years to 2020, the industry will continue to experience slow growth,” says Rivera. Demand growth from the industrial sector will somewhat wane but continue over the next five years. Business and consumer demand growth, however, will accelerate slightly over the next five years as these markets shake off the lingering effects of the slow recovery. Growing revenue will stimulate profit growth.
