AIR Vice President David Osher to Speak at Capitol Hill Briefing on School Safety
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) December 05, 2013 -- Dr. David Osher, a vice president and Institute Fellow at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) and an internationally recognized expert on school safety, is part of an upcoming Capitol Hill panel exploring how schools can prevent violence, improve safety and bolster academic achievement.
"Rethinking School Safety: Schools and Communities Working Together" will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11 in Room 2168 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) is sponsoring the briefing in cooperation with the office of Rep. Dave Loebsack.
Panelists will draw on their experience to review the key components of safe, supportive schools and how to use student resources to maximum benefit. Other speakers include:
