This certification was based on an extensive analysis of its quality systems by SGS, the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. By achieving ISO 9001:2008 compliance, Airline is assuring customers of their commitment to consistent delivery of quality products and services. Airline’s headquarter location in Bensalem, PA has been ISO 9001:2008 certified since May 2011.
Also recently achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification was Fluid Power Service, a division of Airline located in Lancaster, NY. Fluid Power Service has been in business since 1981 providing hydraulic system solutions, manufacturing, cylinder repair and manufacturing, and the service, repair and installation of other types of industrial and mobile hydraulic machinery. In October 2012, the company was acquired by Airline Hydraulics Corporation and has since worked with Airline’s Quality Assurance Manager, Charles Accisano, to put a formal Quality Management System into place and complete the process to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification.
Released in November 2008, ISO 9001:2008 is the fourth and latest release of the Quality Management System standard set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 9001:2008 provides a number of requirements that must be fulfilled in order to ensure a continuous improvement environment is in place to enhance customer satisfaction. SGS auditors confirmed that the Quality Management Systems at Airline’s Pittsburgh branch and at Fluid Power Service have been established and implemented in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008 standards.
Joseph Miceli, Chief Executive Officer of Airline, stated, “I am extremely proud of our Pittsburgh and Fluid Power Service personnel for the commitment, diligence and teamwork they have demonstrated to achieve these certifications. Our focus on Total Quality extends throughout our entire organization and this achievement serves as official recognition of the processes in place at these locations to support our corporate goal of customer satisfaction. This now brings a total of five Airline locations under our ISO certification.”
