Aktiv and Hyperwear Announce Collaborative Fitness Solutions and Hyperwear Celebrates 10th Anniversary at 2018 IHRSA Convention and Trade Show

Hyperwear celebrates its 10th anniversary at IHRSA in 2018 with the launch of the Hyper Vest® ELITE, its next generation weight vest training along with the SoftBell Training System which revolutionizes at-home and small group training. SoftBell Training is built on soft neoprene hand weight plates that are used with fiberglass reinforced plastic dumbbell, kettlebell and barbell handles allowing for versatility in a safer more cost effective adjustable set. New to Hyperwear’s leadership is Jeff Gilberti, President. Mr. Gilberti is a respected veteran of the snow sports and active lifestyle industries. He will oversee sales and marketing while working closely with CEO and Co-founder Dirk Buikema on operations, business strategy and execution. He has previously held executive roles at Burton Snowboards, Fox Racing and TOMS Shoes.
Sarah Ponn, Co-Founder and CMO of surf-inspired training method SURFSET® Fitness, has joined the Hyperwear Team as Vice President of Marketing. She brings broad experience with fitness content creation and digital platform development, both essential components of Hyperwear’s newly launched Small Group Training program. She is developing the HyperFit™ Training Lab, a content platform designed to provide customers with creative programming solutions to drive revenue and retention using Hyperwear’s functional fitness equipment.
