Alaska Realtor Viki Kaas Cooks at Kokrine Hills Bible Camp

Anchorage, AK (PRWEB) July 07, 2017 -- Viki Kaas, broker/owner of Homes Unlimited, who was named Anchorage Realtor of the Year in 2007, volunteered at the Kokrine Hills Bible Camp from June 7-23. Kaas cooked for the workers of the camp, which is located approximately 350 miles north of Anchorage on the Yukon River, and is only accessible by boat or float plane.

“In the villages of Alaska, there is nothing for kids to do, and this is a unique opportunity for them to go to a really, really wonderful camp,” said Kaas, who also supports Soles4Souls, a nonprofit global social enterprise committed to fighting poverty through the collection and distribution of shoes and clothing. “The kids come in on boats and airplanes and it is a huge undertaking. However, they have extended the runway and we can now land bigger planes, so it’s a two-hour plane trip instead of three from Anchorage.”

The ultimate goal of Kokrine Hills Bible Camp is to see God glorified as students come to salvation in Jesus Christ and grow in the knowledge of Christ. Campers also participate in intense team games designed to maximize fun throughout the week.
