Albuquerque Radio Personality Dex Toth Returns to the Air
Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) January 11, 2016 -- Step aside, Roswell—the airspace around Albuquerque is about to be invaded! Starting at 6 am on January 12, Dex Toth, the former host of the top-rated Buck and Dex Show on 104.1 the Edge, returns to the air. Dex will lead The Morning Invasion on Star 88, joining Stevo (Steve Jeter) and Teo (Matt Lott) on the flagship program for the station (88.3 FM in Albuquerque and various translators statewide at star88.fm). The trio will be heard weekdays from 6-10 am.
After his departure from the Edge, Dex was quoted in a May 5, 2015, Newscastic.com article as saying, "My passion and love is radio. I have been doing it since I was eighteen years old. I can't imagine my life without it. What I have to do now is keep my eyes set on God and my family and friends and start that next chapter. I will enjoy my family as much as I can. I will pray and pray and pray some more that God would put me exactly where He wants me. My hope and dream is to be back on the radio doing what I love soon."
After a six-month absence from the Albuquerque airwaves, Dex is excited to announce that his next chapter includes joining the Star 88 family. He is absolutely thrilled to be back on radio. "I was blessed with being on the air for almost fifteen years here in Albuquerque, and I've missed it every day since I last signed off," he said. "It's never been about the paycheck—my supporters have motivated me (the Buck and Dex Army), while family and friends have pushed me to do more. I hope to continue to reach out to the community, gain new supporters (while keeping the old ones), and create new relationships here at Star 88. I'm breaking the mold here, but I hope to make it count."
Star 88 is a Christian owned and operated station featuring vertical worship, Christian hits, and indie music. The Star 88 staff does not shy away from dealing with the problems and realities people face, from troubled marriages to struggles with children, addictions, frustrations, and even crises of faith. The Star 88 vision statement reads, "Real radio for real life. Not just the playlist to your faith, but going through life with you and looking at our experiences through a biblical worldview."
The Star 88 format is unique in many ways, and the return of Dex to the airwaves is a huge step in the station's growth.
