Aleratec Introduces Its 1:5 HDD Copy Dock Advanced Hard Disk Drive Duplicator with Sanitization Functions

This stand-alone duplicator supports 2.5" and 3.5" SATA hard disk drives/solid state drives and can produce up to five hard disk drive clones simultaneously without the need of a computer. It also includes sanitization functions and serves as a hard drive docking station to access up to five hard disk drives at a time using eSATA or USB 3.0 technology.

Aleratec's 1:5 HDD Copy Dock Advanced Duplicator creates sector-by-sector copies that include boot sector and partition information for precise clones of the source hard disk drive. The new model also includes sanitization functions that remove all traces of information from up to five hard disk drives at a time using 1-Pass, 3-Pass or certified 7-Pass Overwrite functions, as well as single-drive Secure Erase which is an NIST 800-88 recommended standard for clearing hard drives.
This new duplicator and sanitizer can also be connected to a computer with the included eSATA or USB 3.0 cable, allowing the unit to function as a high speed hard drive docking station for accessing information on the hard drives. Instant-connect hard disk drive bays offer quick connection and removal with individual power buttons so users can choose which drives to copy or access. All duplication and sanitization functions are accessed via the front-panel buttons and LCD display to monitor the progress of each job. Features include:
