AlertSystems Comment on CCTV Stills of Man Allegedly Accused of Assault in an Appeal by Police
(PRWEB UK) 18 December 2013 -- According to an article published in the Leicester Mercury on the 13th of December, 2013, an incident allegedly occurred at 3:30pm on December 1st involving a man, approximately aged in between 30-50, touching a young girl’s bottom in a shop at the Belgrave Gate in Leicester city centre. Police have released still images captured from CCTV security systems, in an attempt to trace the man in question.
The police have described the man in the photo as white, aged in between 30-50, roughly 5ft 11ins tall and of a medium build with blonde hair. On the day of the footage, he was wearing a green coat. The police have appealed for anyone who might recognise or know the man to step forward and get in touch in order to share any information they might have.
A spokesperson from leading security industry specialists, AlertSystems, commented on the news by saying ‘cases like this are highly sensitive and must be regarded with the utmost seriousness; protecting the country’s children is a community effort, whether that be in the home, the schools or in public areas like shops. Children deserve to feel safe; they deserve to be protected.
‘Without commercial security systems in place like CCTV footage, we would be unable to provide the same level of protection to our children and families. CCTV allows the police to appeal for further information, it gives us an opportunity to stop people that might reoffend or commit worse crimes. CCTV security systems are designed to offer protection to the community.’
