AlertSystems Respond to CCTV Image in Connection With Alleged Arson Attack
(PRWEB UK) 25 July 2013 -- Herefordshire police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an alleged arson attack at a petrol station, reports the Hereford Times on Friday July 19 in their article ‘Arson attack at Hereford petrol station - police release CCTV image of man they want to speak to’.
The paper reports that a storage shed was set alight at a petrol station in Hereford, completely destroying it.
Detective Constable Marie Bridgewater told the paper: “Thankfully, nobody was hurt in this incident, but this could have been a lot worse as to set fire to anything on the site of a petrol station is clearly extremely dangerous. This was a totally reckless act and whoever carried it out showed no regard for the safety of staff or the public as the garage was still open at the time.”
A spokesperson from AlertSystems said:
“This is a serious incident that could have been very dangerous as it occurred at a petrol station. A CCTV security system has an important role to play in identifying and linking suspects with a crime. Arson attacks can cost businesses thousands and it is vital to have CCTV throughout the business premises to identify any trespassers.”
