Four units owned by the same company were broken into at around 10:35pm on July 30. The offenders inflicted significant damage to shutters and doors, although nothing was stolen.
Following the incident, a further break-in at the industrial unit occurred between 4pm on August 19 and 5am on August 20, where the shutter door of a unit was damaged. The unit is owned by the same company but privately rented. Police investigating the incidents believe that the two events may be linked.
Investigating Officer PC Adrian Shenton said that:
“Nothing was stolen during the first reported break-in but due to the amount of damage caused, the business will be subject to significant disruption and repair costs. As part of our inquiries we established that the offenders were caught on CCTV and we would urge anyone who may have information on their identity to contact us.”
