(PRWEB UK) 7 October 2013 -- ITV News has reported in the article ‘CCTV Of Scunthorpe Armed Robbery’ published on October 2, that CCTV images have been released following an alleged armed robbery at a bookmakers in the North Lincolnshire town. According to the report, police were called to the store after 8pm after two men allegedly entered the bookmakers and made threats to members of staff. It is believed that one of the individuals ordered money from a member of staff while holding a firearm and was subsequently given an undisclosed amount of money before the two individuals left the shop. It is thought that they left in a silver coloured Ford Galaxy people-carrier style vehicle.
No one was injured in the incident, and police have released the image of the two individuals in an attempt to identify the men and in an appeal for information from those who may have witnessed the incident.
Detective Inspector Alan Curtis from Humberside Police told ITV News that:
“We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have information which will eventually lead to the arrest and charge of the people involved in this incident. Thankfully nobody was injured as the potential actions of the offenders could have been significantly worse. Incidents such as this are rare in North Lincolnshire and I would ask for anyone who may have information, no matter how big or small, to please call police. We are continuing with our investigation and anyone who may have seen something might be able to help.”
