Alex Childress Explains That Charitable Acts of Giving Back to the Community Are Paramount to the Team at Childress Engineering Services
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 23, 2013 -- House on The Corner is an annual program put on by a local DFW church to provide a deserving family with a home to call their own. These homes are literally built “from the ground up,” with work taking place every Saturday for three months during the summer in the church’s parking lot. The house is then moved to a permanent location in East Plano where the construction is finalized. In addition to some members of the staff who may help build the homes of their own accord, Childress Engineering Services provides foundation and structural engineering, design, and inspection services during the build. House on The Corner is building their 10th home this summer, and Childress Engineering is proud to be a part of the project once again.
Childress Engineering Services has been giving back to the community for years through their work with Habitat for Humanity. Childress Engineering, through a combination of reduced or no-profit service offerings, has worked closely with Habitat for Humanity to complete more than two dozen homes for families in need across Texas.
Alex Childress, head of Childress Engineering Services’ Residential division said, “We’ve been working with Habitat for Humanity for over 10 years. Most of us have not had to endure what some who are less fortunate go through, so this is our way of giving back to those who are in need.”
In addition to these charitable acts, Childress Engineering’s next worthwhile community project will be this summer when they partner up with M/I Homes of Houston for the Greater Houston Benefit Homes Project.
