AlignLife Has Thanksgiving in July to Support Mission For Area People
Norton Shores, Mi (PRWEB) August 15, 2015 -- Sometimes in life people get knocked down and hope someone is there to help them get back up. When the summer months start the local food pantries get knocked down and have a hard time keeping their food pantries stocked. This is mainly due to two reasons, one is many places or business's having food drives in the fall or winter. The second is the increase in food demand for families who have kids out of school for the summer.
AlignLife of Norton Shores decided to lend that hand and help someone back up and has just finished having Thanksgiving in July. The goal was to get collect as much food as possible during the month of July to supply for August when the pantry would get hit the hardest. When AlignLife started to let people know the intent the community rose to the occasion. Not only the current practice members helped make this possible but also those in the community who found out what AlignLife was doing and decided to help. This is what makes Muskegon GO we have people in the community who know how to lend a hand and help someone else in need.
MAP provides and emphasizes healthy food options focusing on fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy, whole grains, and protein for families in need. The healthy food pantry is one of the many services they offer to the community. The passion behind the volunteers at MAP, is the same passion that excites our office everyday to be able to make a difference in the community, one apple and one hand at a time.
