All Children’s Hospital Celebrates 90 Years and Changes Name to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital
St. Petersburg, Fla. (PRWEB) April 05, 2016 -- Starting today, All Children’s Hospital will now be called Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. The hospital officially announced its new name today while celebrating 90 years of acclaimed pediatric health care and service to patient families. During the anniversary event at the hospital in St. Petersburg, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital leaders also unveiled a new logo signifying its completed integration with Johns Hopkins Medicine.
“This historic moment honors our long-standing tradition in clinically based pediatric care and connects our health care reputation to the globally recognized name reflected by the addition of Johns Hopkins,” says Jonathan Ellen, M.D., president and CEO of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and vice dean at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. “Today, we can proudly share that we have met the rigorous standards set forth by Johns Hopkins and upheld our own commitment to our like-minded missions and culture.”
In 2011, All Children’s Hospital became the only U.S. hospital outside of the Baltimore/Washington metro area to join Johns Hopkins Medicine. With its new name, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital completes its integration with Johns Hopkins Medicine, forging a new path to improve the health of children in the southeastern U.S. and around the world.
