Allen Wright Ponders Reasons for Bible’s Creation in New Book

Bessemer, Michigan (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- In his new book, “The Book: Why the First Books of the Bible Were Written and Who They Were Written For” (published by iUniverse), author, retired businessman and teacher Allen Wright searches for answers to readers questions, doubts and convictions about the Bible. The book will be featured at this year’s Frankfurt Book Fair, the world’s largest trade fair for books. More than 7,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries and more than 200,000 visitors are expected at the fair which will take place over five days, October 5 – 13, 2013.

Wright first took up an interest in biblical history while taking a course called Ancient Near Eastern History at Southern Methodist University. The results of his studies were eventually published in The Journal for Biblical Literature, and his work is continued in “The Book.”

Offering his informative and mind-altering perspective to the topic, Wright places an academic’s lens over the Bible, specifically Genesis through Kings II. Although Wright is not particularly religious, he approaches his analysis of the Bible from a spiritual outlook.

Allen Wright lives with his wife in his beautiful home state of Michigan, following a 35-year career in Dallas. He graduated from the University of California–Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in history and earned a master’s degree in public administration at Southern Methodist University, Dallas.
