Allergy Associates of Utah Announces the Appointment of New Physician, Andrew M. Smith, M.D.
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) February 07, 2014 -- Allergy Associates of Utah is proud to announce the appointment of a new staff physician, Andrew M. Smith, M.D. Dr. Smith is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. He is board certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Smith graduated summa cum laude from Princeton University then attended medical school at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Cincinnati / Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. After training, Dr. Smith taught at an Allergy training program, provided patient care in a private practice, and was involved with multiple clinical trials.
Dr. Smith joins the staff of Allergy Associates of Utah due to a growing demand for advanced allergy services from patients suffering with allergies of all types. Dr. Smith will be seeing patients at both the Fashion Place and Jordan Landing locations, providing convenient evening and weekend hours.
Dr. Smith had this to say about his new position, “I am excited to be working with all the fine doctors at Allergy Associates of Utah. As an Allergist/Immunologist, I enjoy my work and offer professional care to patients from infancy through older adulthood. The most common problems I treat are asthma, seasonal allergies, food and medication reactions, and rashes. I will be expanding the scope of services to include: rapid desensitization to allergies and insect stings; evaluation of surgical/dental device allergy; and evaluation of aspirin and penicillin reactions.”
