Alliance for Women in Media Foundation Announces Sexy Hair Returns as Hair Care Sponsor for 39th Annual Gracie Awards
McLean, VA (PRWEB) January 23, 2014 -- Alliance for Women in Media Foundation is pleased to announce that Sexy Hair will return as the official hair care sponsor of the 39th Annual Gracie Awards. The Gracie Awards Gala will take place on May 20, 2014, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. The AWMF and Sexy Hair “Caring is Sexy” award will be presented at the gala.
The Gracie Awards (also known as “the Gracies”) recognize exemplary programming created for women, by women and about women in all facets of media, including radio, television, cable and new media. The awards program also encourages the realistic and multi-faceted portrayal of women in entertainment, news, features and other programs. The winners of the 2014 Gracies will be announced in early February.
“Alliance for Women in Media Foundation appreciates Sexy Hair’s continued support of the Gracies,” said AWMF Interim CEO Sylvia Strobel. “The Gracies Awards Gala is an exciting event, and the presentation of the ‘Caring is Sexy’ award is a highlight of the evening.”
The AWMF and Sexy Hair “Caring is Sexy” award will be presented at this year’s Gracie’s Gala. Reflecting AWMF and Sexy Hair’s commitment to giving back to the community, the “Caring is Sexy” recognizes an individual who practices exceptional acts of kindness. Introduced at the 2013 Gracies Gala, the first “Caring in Sexy” award recipient was E! News co-anchor Giuliana Rancic, who has championed several causes that have affected her personally, including infertility and breast cancer.
“What unites Alliance for Women in Media (AWM), the Gracies and Sexy Hair is the common desire to recognize the strength, determination and achievement of women. It’s not a woman’s outward appearance that makes her beautiful. It’s the inner confidence, the passion and the relentless drive toward success that defines who she is and where she is going….and THAT is SEXY! Sexy Hair is proud to join AWM and The Gracies with the Caring is Sexy award in honoring these exceptional women in the media as they continue to inspire and empower women everywhere,” said Jennifer Parks, Senior Vice President of Sales for Sexy Hair.
Sexy Hair is also the Title Sponsor of the Gracie Awards Luncheon. The luncheon honors the best and brightest in local, public, digital and student media. The 2014 Luncheon will be held on June 11, 2014 at the New York Hilton.
Sexy Hair, made famous by its “big red can” products, is one of the fastest growing companies in the beauty industry. Sexy Hair has earned a reputation for consistently creating innovative brands that do what they promise, and for that reason its products are favorites of Hollywood’s leading entertainment-industry stylists. The Gracies are presented by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Alliance for Women in Media that supports educational programs, charitable activities, public service campaigns and scholarships to benefit the public, the electronic media and allied fields. The Gracie Awards, established in 1975, honors programming and individuals of the highest caliber in all facets of radio, television, cable and web-based media, including news, drama, comedy, commercials, public service, documentary and sports.
