Alliance Integrated Technology Expands Staff, Naming Kevin Frand Senior Solutions Architect
Pasadena, Calif. (PRWEB) July 26, 2016 -- Alliance Integrated Technology, a comprehensive end-to-end innovative technology solutions provider in High Performance Computing, Server Virtualization, SAN Infrastructure, Multiplexing and Archiving, today announced the appointment of Kevin Frand to its technical team. Frand joins Alliance as Senior Solutions Architect.
No stranger to this industry, Frand began this journey over 20 years ago, becoming Apple certified as well as mastering Windows and UNIX/Linux operating systems. While completing his degree in applied mathematics at UC Davis, he became involved in the University’s tape backups and has continued to work with tape libraries, backup software and the associated infrastructure.
Prior to joining Alliance, Frand served as Senior Systems Engineer for Technicolor, where he was responsible for configuring and supporting StorNext SAN, Brocade and Qlogic fibre switches, Extreme Networks metadata switches as well as Linux, and Mac servers. He has also served as Support Services Manager for Integrated Media Technologies, where he coordinated engineers and participated in systems support and troubleshooting. In this role, he assisted many entertainment giants with their storage and backup infrastructure. However, he spent most of a decade working at EFILM Digital Laboratories as their Senior Systems Engineer, where he designed, installed and maintained the tape and backup infrastructure that included dozens of tape drives, thousands of media cartridges and petabytes of data for hundreds of full feature movies.
