Allied Logistics Announces Leadership Changes Positioning For The Future
HUNTINGTON, West Virginia (PRWEB) January 16, 2015 -- Michael J. Carroll has been named president of Allied Logistics, West Virginia Operations effective January 1, the company has announced.
Carroll was formerly Allied Logistics senior vice president of operations, a position he held since 1997. In his new role, Mike will be responsible for over one million square feet of warehouse assets in Huntington, Charleston, Kenova and Parkersburg, West Virginia; transportation services throughout West Virginia and parts of Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Tennessee; as well as chemical blending, screening, and packaging services in West Virginia. Carroll has more than 40 years of industry experience, 30 of those with Allied.
Carl Vance has been advanced to vice president, West Virginia Operations. With nearly three decades’ experience in the transportation and logistics industry, Carl will draw upon his deep roots in transportation services and operations to lead our focus on providing exceptional and innovative customer solutions. Previously he served as vice-president of operation for Allied Processing Services, a member of the Allied family of companies.
Matt Stephens has been promoted to Director of Operations for Allied Transportation and will oversee business operations throughout West Virginia and parts of Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. He has 15 years of freight operations experience, nearly 23 years with the company.
In a related move, Jeff Smith, formerly president at Allied, has taken on the newly-created position of director of strategic analysis. Smith joined the company in 1991 as chief financial officer, and served as president, West Virginia Operations for the last 16 years. Having been at the forefront of the company’s overall growth strategy, Jeff will be responsible for evaluating business opportunities, risk control and overall sustainability practices across our Virginia and West Virginia operations.
