Almaden Valley Athletic Club® Announces “Rally for the Girls”
San Jose, Calif (PRWEB) September 24, 2015 -- The Almaden Valley Athletic Club® (AVAC®), the Bay Area’s premier, award-winning family facility offering total health, fitness and wellness programs for all ages, announced the dates for its beloved “Rally for the Girls” event benefiting the Breast Cancer Emergency Fund. This 2-day event will take place Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3. At the 2013 event over $10,000 was raised, and the goal this year is to surpass that amount. AVAC® is looking for community support to reach this goal.
Friday, October 2: “Kick-Off BBQ” on AVAC’s pool deck 6-10 pm. Food and beverages to be provided, and each participant will receive an event t-shirt and raffle ticket. There will be a DJ, dancing, raffle prizes, games and more.
Saturday, October 3: “Day of Fitness” including a packed schedule of Group Fitness and AbsoluteFIT classes for participants to choose from. Each participant will receive an event t-shirt, goodie bag, raffle ticket, and complimentary drink.
“AVAC® is honored to help raise breast cancer awareness within our community. 'Rally for the Girls' give us an opportunity to donate money directly to the BCEF, an organization providing quick and compassionate emergency financial assistance to low-income people battling breast cancer and their families to help cover basic human needs, lessen financial burdens, and improve quality of life,” said Jeff Griffith-Jones, GM of AVAC®.
