Alpine Country Club Selects Naomi Nesenoff as Director of Golf
CRANSTON, R.I. (PRWEB) February 28, 2018 -- Naomi Nesenoff has been named the Director of Golf at the Alpine Country Club. With her newly appointed position, she will join an exclusive group of female PGA professionals across New England to head a golf club.
Nesenoff will be responsible for managing the operations of the golf department as well as spearheading retail initiatives and expanding golf participation. As part of her role, she will oversee golf lessons, manage staff and ensure the success of various events and tournaments.
“Our goal in selecting a new director of golf was to continue Alpine’s tradition of having an elite golf professional lead our golf operations,” said Ernest C. Ricci, Jr., president of Alpine Country Club. “The Alpine team feels confident that Naomi’s qualities and accomplishments will continue the club’s legacy of enlisting some of the best golf instructors and professionals in the field.”
Nesenoff’s extensive professional experience includes working as the Director of Golf at Traditions at the Glen Resort, and having similar roles or senior administrative positions at Turning Stone Resort Casino and Bonnie Briar Country Club, as well as with the Elite Golf Cruises and the Women’s Metropolitan Golf Association. She is a 2009 graduate of Pennsylvania State University’s PGA Golf Management program. During her time at Bonnie Briar, Nesenoff also spent two seasons learning from Master PGA Professional Tom Willson.
“I look forward to addressing Alpine member needs and working with a talented group of golf professionals to grow the sport within the Rhode Island area,” Nesenoff said. “One of my goals is to promote the Alpine brand and the club as a premier destination. I also want to develop programs that spur youth, women, and senior involvement in the sport and encourage families to come experience everything that Alpine Country Club has to offer.”
Nesenoff plans to drive family engagement using strategies she has learned throughout her career. At all of the facilities she has managed, Nesenoff has increased player engagement by implementing clinics for developing players that might otherwise be intimidated by golf.
“The clinics that I hope to establish at Alpine have been amazing additions to my previous facilities. These new golfers then bring their children, spouses, parents, and friends to join in on the fun,” she added.
