Altec Announces Donation to Wounded Warrior Project
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) January 22, 2014 -- Altec Industries, Inc., announced today it has made a $50,000 donation to Wounded Warrior Project on behalf of its customers and associates. Lee Styslinger III, Altec’s Chairman and CEO, presented the check to officials of the Wounded Warrior Project at a formal ceremony held in Washington, DC.
“Altec is committed to supporting our troops returning from service to our country,” said Styslinger. “If it weren’t for the efforts of our servicemen and women, companies like Altec would not be in a position to pursue opportunities, growth and success. America’s economic strength is a direct result of our armed forces fighting and sacrificing for our freedoms. The Wounded Warrior Project is fundamental to our values at Altec and our commitment to giving back to our communities and our country.”
“It’s heartwarming to see the kind of support we receive from companies like Altec,” said Ralph Ibson, National Policy Director for Wounded Warrior Project. “We started modestly as a small organization 10 years ago and we are now thriving and able to offer hope and support to so many injured warriors because of the type of generosity Altec demonstrated today.”
Altec is a leading equipment and service provider for the electric utility, telecommunications, contractor, lights and signs, and tree care markets. The company provides products and services in more than 100 countries throughout the world.
