Altep Inc. Introduces Riskcovery 3.0
El Paso, TX (PRWEB) February 02, 2016 -- Today, Altep, Inc. announced the release of Riskcovery® 3.0, which now includes mobile data ingestion capabilities. Riskcovery is a portable, concept-driven data analysis platform which can help an organization understand the conceptual content of the data and email it owns.
With Riskcovery 3.0, organizations can now include mobile communications such as email, chat, text messages, etc. in their investigations. Using advanced analytics, Riskcovery compares sample documents with ingested data to identify items with similar conceptual content and meaning. By design, Riskcovery helps alert corporate governance to possible compliance, ethics, and even procedural issues. It’s an effective means of auditing an organization’s document population for signs of a problem, so that proactive action may be taken to address the situation.
In an increasingly connected world, the use of mobile phones and devices is expanding exponentially, and important conversations are increasingly taking place via SMS. If an organization ignores this segment of data, there is a very real risk that vital information will be excluded from the inquiry. With the addition of support for Oxygen and Cellebrite XML export files; the ability to ingest delimited files recording conversations held on popular chat apps or via plain SMS; and the inclusion of communication data on document reports, Riskcovery mitigates this risk.
Riskcovery is similarly useful in pre-discovery strategic planning. Unlike TAR platforms, which endeavor to control costs during the review stage, Riskcovery is intended to proactively reduce collection of irrelevant information before the review process even takes place. By sampling materials across the organization and using Riskcovery to assess conceptual content, discovery managers and Counsel can better target collections.
“Riskcovery 3.0 enables analysis of a sub-set of the data universe that has been glossed over for too long,” said Collin Miller, Director of Altep’s Riskcovery Services group. “Whether the focus is compliance, e-discovery, or an ongoing internal or external investigation, the growing use of mobile devices means that organizations can’t afford to ignore the potential evidentiary value of mobile device data any longer. To do so may indicate an egregious lack of diligence.”
