Alumni 4 America® Helps U.S. Students Overcome Education Challenges with the Largest National Fundraiser
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) August 10, 2015 -- As America’s students head back to school, and parents open their wallets in anticipation, Alumni 4 America launched what is believed to be the largest nationwide fundraiser in history. It is designed to help schools get today's students ready for the careers and challenges of tomorrow.
“We want to change student fundraising in America,” said Ann Myers, a founder and president of Alumni 4 America (A4A). “Our national fundraiser allows individuals, organizations and businesses large and small to choose easy and powerful ways to contribute to students – while knowing where their money is going, regardless the size of the participation.”
By offering a mobile app and low-cost reward cards for consumer discounts on valuable products and services, Alumni 4 America’s purpose-driven fundraising provides businesses an opportunity to reach new audiences in their cause-driven marketing efforts.
Alumni 4 America just launched their "Make A Difference Challenge," which runs through Oct. 24, with a goal to raise millions of dollars for schools in every zip code. Contributions and sponsorships raise money for student educational needs – such as school supplies, books, computers, empowerment programs, scholarships and capital campaigns. Corporate sponsors, local businesses, organizations and individuals are given the power to target their investment to the school of their choice.
A4A's Business Hero Network option, for example, offers local businesses an effective, low-cost approach to support their communities' students and schools, while attracting new customers to their own business.
Schools, teams and squads, libraries and alumni associations can find out how to raise their own funds by visiting A4A's Raise Funds pages on their website.
“Alumni 4 America already has built relationships offering products and services from more than 335,000 national brand locations," added Larry McElwain of Sacramento, Calif., a founder and chief operating officer of Alumni 4 America. “We provide a 21st century fundraiser that saves Americans thousands of dollars on products and services they use every day!”
Alumni 4 America is built on the belief that every former student should be in support America's current students. “I believe that children are our greatest resource, that providing a first-class education to our children should be a priority," said Myers of St. Louis, Mo. “America has slipped in world rankings. For our children to be able to compete in the global marketplace, we must get serious about giving them the tools they need."
“It is time for us to come together in support of our children, our future, America’s future. Let’s make a story, a headline that makes all of us feel good about what we have achieved," Myers said. "Let's let America’s students know that we believe in them – and show that by providing the educational opportunities they deserve to succeed in school and in life."
On the A4A website, organizers have made it as easy as possible – under 3 minutes time – for everyone to support students and communities. "And for their contribution, we provide an incredibly high value reward card/mobile app that is truly a win-win for everyone,” she explained.
On Oct. 24, the "Make a Difference Challenge" deadline will end with a national celebration. Alumni 4 America will be celebrating what they believe will be an unprecedented level of funds raised by communities throughout the U.S. and will acknowledge businesses and organizations that stepped up to the challenge.
In conjunction with the launch of the national fundraising campaign, Alumni 4 America also began partnership with STOPit, the nationally recognized cyberbullying platform that offers an online, anonymous reporting system to help stop bullying in schools. The A4A campaign will contribute funding to bring this life-saving tool to schools across America.

"Whether you are an individual, corporate sponsor or somewhere in between, it is time for us all to take action and make a difference," Myers said. "Our children’s future depends on it!"
