AM&AA, Bureau van Dijk and Merrill DataSite named Two Honorees for M&A Middle Market "Thought Leader Award"
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 03, 2014 -- The Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisors® (AM&AA), the leading association and credentialing body for middle market M&A professionals in partnership with Bureau van Dijk and Merrill DataSite, named Andrew Greenberg, CEO of GF Data Resources, and Peter Worrell, Founder of Bigelow LLC, as winners of the fifth annual middle market “Thought Leader of the Year Award.”
The Middle Market Thought Leader Award honors individuals who have made a meaningful contribution to middle market M&A through the publication of works that promote research and higher standards of excellence. This award recognizes those in the M&A community who create and advocate ideas that add value to the industry.
Through his work at GF Data Resource, Mr. Greenberg, is certainly one of those people. He has made an enormous impact on the industry by bringing accurate data to the lower middle market, which is not an easy task considering how little data actually gets disclosed at the lower end of the market. He has taken a large pool of data collected from private equity sponsors and synthesized it into reports and commentaries that are unique and insightful.
Peter Worrell was also named a Thought Leader of the Year. Mr. Worrell was honored for his book, “Enterprise Value: How the Best Owner-Managers Build Their Fortune, Capture Their Company's Gains, and Create Their Legacy.” Worrell’s book really helps entrepreneurs/owners to successfully navigate toward building lasting value in their businesses, which is critical today. Peter’s book had a unique perspective, focusing on both the psychology and financials of the deal, which are not things most people take into account together, but what made his work so compelling.

The award was presented at the 2014 AM&AA Winter Conference, Dynamic Dealmaking: New Rules, New Strategies, New Opportunities.
