American Cruise Lines Introduces Brand New 15-Day Mississippi River Itinerary
GUILFORD, CT (PRWEB) February 24, 2015 -- American Cruise Lines (http://www.americancruiselines.com), announced today the introduction of its Heartland Celebration Cruise. The 15-day cruise is being offered on one of the line’s newest riverboats, the 150-passenger Queen of the Mississippi. This unique American river experience begins in New Orleans on the 4th of July and ends in St. Louis, MO, after cruising 1,130 miles of the Mississippi River and stopping in 10 of the most unique towns and cities along the way.
The cruise starts out with guests enjoying a complimentary pre-night aboard the Queen of the Mississippi, which will be positioned just several hundred yards upriver from the Dueling Barges Fireworks Extravaganza in New Orleans. As the cruise gets underway, guests enjoy views of a diverse landscape, while experiencing Queen of the Mississippi’s distinct amenities, including the most spacious staterooms on the river and private balconies with sliding glass doors. By Sunday afternoon guests arrive in Oak Alley for a special Summer Under the Canopy of Oaks – it’s a classic weekend day harkening, back to an earlier time.
American Cruise Lines features a unique open-seating dining plan, which allows guests to enjoy meals in a single seating at the time of their choice, while surrounded by panoramic views of the river. For the duration of the cruise, an all-American crew caters to passengers’ every need. There are daily educational events and themed entertainment as well as complimentary featured tour excursions.
“There couldn’t be a better time to experience the Mississippi River than in the summer,” said Timothy Beebe, Vice President, American Cruise Lines. “We wanted to introduce a cruise that took advantage of the wonderful July 4th celebration, fresh air and relaxing opportunity to travel one of the longest stretches of the Mississippi.”
The Heartland Celebration cruise begins July 3, 2015 aboard the Queen of the Mississippi.
