American Institutes for Research Experts to Present at 22nd Annual Conference of Adults Learning Maths (ALM)
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 10, 2015 -- International experts on the subjects of numeracy and math education will convene in Alexandria, Va. July 13-15 for the 22nd Annual Conference of Adults Learning Maths (ALM) – An International Forum, sponsored by the American Institutes for Research (AIR).
The conference, at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, features several AIR researchers, and focuses on the importance of math literacy in everyday life. Topics include diversifying the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields and advancing mathematics teaching and learning in all education sectors in the U.S., with an aim toward improving U.S. math scores on the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies, a major worldwide gauge of educational skills.
