American Made Dorm & Home Moves To New Textile Plant
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) October 30, 2013 -- American Made Dorm & Home, a manufacturer of American made bedding for dorm, home, and baby, announced today it has moved its manufacturing operations to Webster Enterprises in Sylva, North Carolina.
"Finding the right textile manufacturing plant is one of the most critical aspects of Made in USA production," stated Caroline Eager, President, "and requires many things, including a strong sewing team, quality control, size and capacity for growth, and systems to ensure manufacturing standards are followed precisely." Caroline commented, "Webster meets every need of our growing company."
In August, American Made Dorm & Home moved all of its baby bedding, called "Liz and Roo" to Webster from another plant. They have since added several lines of home bedding, and are testing samples of new home bedding products. Webster is known for its sewing work in the hospital industry, and has strong quality control and scheduling systems in place that appeared perfectly suited for American Made Dorm & Home. The fact that Webster took on two other companies who also manufacture baby bedding was a plus.
Liz and Roo is a division of American Made Dorm & Home, formed less than one year ago when Brixy, the industry trade association, approached the owner about the possibility of manufacturing baby bedding. Liz and Roo now serves close to 100 independent retailers and is committed to USA manufacturing and the support of the specialty retail market.
American Made Dorm & Home is a SWaM-certified, women owned business that has also been certified by Made in US-Certified. The company manufactures baby bedding under "Liz and Roo". The company is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky and manufactures its baby bedding line in Sylva, North Carolina.
