Americans for Prosperity Launches Major New Ad Buy on Landrieu's Private Flights on the Taxpayer
Baton Rouge, LA (PRWEB) November 20, 2014 -- Americans for Prosperity announced the launch of a major new digital ad buy today, advocating the defeat of Senator Mary Landrieu.
The ad, called "Private," highlights the 43 private flights Landrieu took for fundraisers and campaign events, which were improperly charged to the taxpayer. The narrator says, "If you want a senator who understands your struggle and represents your concerns, then ask yourself one question: when was the last time you flew private?"
AFP-Louisiana State Director Philip Joffrion had the following to say:
"Landrieu doesn't just sap our tax dollars to travel in style though; she votes to drain our incomes on all manner of wasteful spending, from ObamaCare to the stimulus bill. Voting with the Obama agenda 97 percent of the time doesn't reflect the struggles and concerns of most Louisianans I know -- and neither does jetting off to fundraisers in private planes."
Americans for Prosperity began expressly advocating Senator Landrieu's defeat several weeks ago, and the groups says more action on Landrieu's record is likely in the coming weeks.
The organization has been heavily engaged on the ground all over Louisiana, where field staff and volunteers are continuing to spread the word about her record. Rather than winding down after the primary, the group is going to press the message even harder over the next few weeks.
