AmeriPride Services Celebrates 125th Anniversary with Branch Events and Community Service
Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) January 24, 2014 -- Marking 125 years of dedication to product excellence and customer service, AmeriPride Services today announced several 2014 initiatives to celebrate the company’s anniversary and recognize its customers, employees and communities served.
“We’re excited to celebrate this key milestone with our valued customers and employees throughout 2014,” said Bill Evans, president and CEO of AmeriPride Services. “Together we will commemorate a legacy of service to our customers and the communities where we do business.”
AmeriPride will celebrate their milestone anniversary in a variety of ways. Highlights will include a 125th anniversary logo to signify and celebrate the company’s rich heritage of service, events at the company’s local branches, customer appreciation and employee recognition efforts, and community service and outreach activities. They have also developed a corporate history book bringing to life the company’s rich heritage, and will host a anniversary celebration for company leadership, business partners and family shareholders in June.
“We’re proud of our longevity in the industry and growth as a company, as well as the positive impact we’ve made on the businesses and communities we serve,” said Evans. “Through it all, our commitment to the customers, personalized service and innovation has sustained the company for more than 125 years. And there are not a lot of businesses that can say they’ve been around that long.”
A Legacy of Service and Innovation
George and Frank Steiner founded the company in 1889 in Lincoln, Nebraska, and together made deliveries with a green and white handcart they pushed through the city streets. It wasn't long before the handcart was upgraded to a horse-drawn wagon and eventually the brothers moved to separate cities to expand the company. The company expanded into Canada in 1925 and consolidated all of its branches in 1948. They now have more than 115 branches and service centers across the U.S. and Canada and are one of the leading textile rental companies in North America.
“The key to our sustainability and growth has really been our ability to change,” Evans said. “We’ve expanded and evolved with technology and new processes that meet the needs of North America’s small businesses, while staying true to our underlying commitment to customer service and quality products.”
AmeriPride is enhancing operational efficiency to better serve its customers by piloting alternative fuel vehicles in many of its branches. Other technological innovations include advanced safety products like flame resistant and hi-visibility apparel, and Safety Driven telematics technology that is being installed in all its delivery vehicles. In addition, the company uses RFID and handheld technologies to seamlessly track, manage and update customer orders.
