AmerisourceBergen Selected for U.S. Business Development Mission to Asia
Chesterbrook, PA (PRWEB) October 14, 2014 -- U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker announced that AmerisourceBergen – along with 19 other U.S. firms – has been selected for a Business Development Mission to Asia later this month focused on the healthcare and energy sectors. In an effort to promote U.S. exports to Japan and South Korea, the mission will help companies increase business in these key markets.
Over the past year, AmerisourceBergen has continued to broaden its global reach through strategic partnerships, including a joint venture with Profarma Distribuidora de Produtos Farmacêuticos S.A. (Profarma) in Brazil and an expansion of third party logistics and global clinical trial logistics capabilities through World Courier in Australia. The company has also expanded its presence in Western Europe, opening an office in Bern, Switzerland to support Global Manufacturer relations and commercialization strategy; and by acquiring Herescon in Germany to expand reimbursement consulting services.
As global growth remains a high priority for AmerisourceBergen in the coming years, this mission could not come at a better time.

The mission will make stops in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea.
