Amphion Medical Solutions Enhances its Self-Paced Online ICD-10 Training Platform, Amphion U
MADISON, Wis. (PRWEB) March 24, 2015 -- Amphion Medical Solutions, a leading provider of advanced transcription and coding solutions and services, announced significant platform enhancements to its comprehensive ICD-10 training program, Amphion University, designed to accelerate and improve the training and proficiency of medical coders. The new Amphion U interface provides a more user-friendly experience while navigating through the program’s extensive training packages and more robust administrative reporting functions.
Amphion U features interactive lessons, on an easy-to-use platform that guides users through the intricacies of ICD-10. It separates PCS and CM modules, which makes lessons more approachable for coders. Amphion U saves users’ progress as they complete the course work allowing them to go at their own pace and pick up where they left off.
“Since our initial launch a year ago, we’ve made our training even more accessible and helpful than ever,” said Vice President of Business Development and Chief Compliance Officer, Minnette Terlep, RHIT. “There are thousands of gray areas in ICD-10 coding, which can make the transition from ICD-9 daunting. With these enhancements, we focused heavily on the user experience by guiding coders through the process in order to better facilitate learning and retention.”
Amphion U helps users and administrators track progress and highlights areas of deficiency and knowledge gaps. For extra assistance in difficult lessons, users have access to study guides, terminology manuals, codebooks and a vast library of practice records. Students may also e-mail questions to Amphion’s team of AHIMA-certified instructors.
Once coders sign up using the self-registration system, they may then purchase the entire program or (depending on their needs) individual lessons. Organizations may contact Amphion to purchase group enrollment codes in order to facilitate the training of an entire staff.
In addition to a more user-friendly platform, programmers compiled the lessons in a SCORM packaging system, which allows companies to upload Amphion U into their existing e-learning systems. This means facilities can implement Amphion U into their current training programs without making major changes to other training operations.
“We recognize that every facility operates differently. Our redesigned platform lets administrators integrate lessons seamlessly into their training programs and customize the curriculum based on company needs,” said Coding Support Manager, Rachel Jorgenson, RHIA. “Not only does Amphion U’s versatility improve our clients’ experience today, it also lets our team of programmers and expert coders build on our successes for the future.”
