Newark, NJ (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- Taste the finest local, domestic and international beers from more than 25 breweries and sample 12 varieties of meat and vegetarian chili, along with other delicious treats during An Evening of Hot Chili & Cool Brew at the Newark Museum, Thursday, October 24, beginning at 6 pm. Now in its seventh year, the event, held in the Engelhard Court, draws a sell-out crowd for its blend of great beer, food and art.

For a donation of $125 (Pint Level Individual Sponsorship) or $50 for a general admission (all but $15 of each ticket is tax deductible), guests can sample unlimited beers and chili, hot dogs, cornbread and desserts. Participants will have exclusive access to the historic Ballantine House - once home of the famed beer and ale brewing family – and the exhibition Ming to Modern: Elevating the Everyday in Chinese Art.

Planned by the Newark Museum Volunteer Organization and the Newark Museum Business & Community Council, all net proceeds from this annual fundraiser will benefit the Museum. United is the Official Airline of the Newark Museum and Comcast Spotlight is the media partner.

Peerless Beverage will present a global array of beers including Belgium’s Boon Brewery, Duvel, Maredsous and Rodenbach Brewery; and Theakston Brewery of the United Kingdom. Domestic craft brews from Peerless range from Anchor Brewing, Blue Point Brewing Company, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Crispin, Harpoon, Magic Hat, Ommegang, Pyramid Breweries and Sierra Nevada. Hunterdon Distributors will present a variety of beers including Breckenridge Brewery, Flying Dog Brewery, Rogue Brewery and Slyfox Brewery. New Jersey is represented by Gaslight Brewery and Restaurant of South Orange, Butler’s High Point Brewing, Roselle Park’s Climax and Cricket Hill of Fairfield. Also presented will be New York’s Brooklyn Brewery, Shmaltz and Sixpoint Brewery; Weyerbacher from Pennsylvania; and Canada’s Unibroue. Guests will be sampling their beer in a memento pub tasting glass.

Chili samples will be provided by Cravings A Caterer, Eclectic Catering, Encore Catering, Exquisite Entertaining, Frungillo Caterers, Gaslight Brewery & Restaurant, Kilkenny Ale House, Laurence Craig Catering, Martini 494, Rutgers Catering, Ultimate Caterers and Touch Bayou Catering. Hobby’s Delicatessen & Restaurant will be contributing hot dogs and trimmings; and Hilton Penn Station Newark will provide dessert.
