Ancora Education Launches Edge Tech Academy in Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex
Hurst, Texas (PRWEB) September 22, 2016 -- Advancements in technology have permeated every element of life, and as a result, the world needs uniquely skilled individuals who can create the software that drives the next big thing.
With that goal in mind, Ancora Education is proud to announce that it has launched Edge Tech Academy, its newest brand, in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Offering three “full stack” coding boot camps that were developed by industry experts including Microsoft legend and best-selling author Stephen Walther, Edge Tech trains future software engineers, programmers and designers in today’s preeminent software languages.
“Tomorrow’s thought leaders will find their vision, voice, and confidence in Edge Tech Academy’s boot camp programs,” says Gary James, Edge Tech Academy Instructor. “By design the Edge Tech boot camps are intense, all day, 9-week learning events. They are rigorous because our goal is to have you be remarkable, not conventional.”
Edge Tech Academy offers 3 different “full stack” coding boot camps, including Java, .NET, and JavaScript and the key accompanying frameworks and technologies in the stack so that complete apps can be made. Each boot camp starts with Edge Tech’s free online “Coding from Scratch” course, a crash course into the world of computer programming. “Coding from Scratch” is a foundation- building self-paced course, once that is completed a student would then join, other like-minded students in person at the Edge Tech campus in Hurst, Texas for 9 weeks. During this time, students work with industry-experienced instructors who deliver lectures, oversee hands-on learning, and mentor each student in the latest in-demand languages. A significant portion of the boot camp is spent working in small teams to develop real life projects that students can eventually share with potential employers.
There is a grand opening and open house on Thursday September 29th from 9:00 am – 11:00 am and again from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. At Edge Tech’s open house, snacks are available as well as a teaching demo. Potential students are encouraged to experiment hands-on with some of the technologies that Edge Tech Academy teaches. Instructors will be available to answer questions and discuss the exciting things potential students can learn in the boot camps. Edge Tech Academy is located in Hurst at 8701 Bedford Euless Road, Suite 610, central to Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, and other DFW suburbs.
