Anderson Pediatric Dentistry Expands Office Hours
Anderson, SC (PRWEB) September 30, 2013 -- Anderson Pediatric Dentistry, PA now has more office hours for appointments in the early morning and late afternoon.
The move opens up enough time to see an additional 50 patients per month during those hours.
The office is now open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It is closed on Thursday, and Dr. Kathleen Monn is in the operating room most Fridays.
Anderson Pediatric has also expanded its dental team, welcoming Kendra, its newest member. Kendra graduated from Greenville Technical College in Greenville, S.C. with her Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate in August 2012. In South Carolina, , such dental assistants are permitted to take impressions for study models, place and remove socket dressing, and cement temporary crowns or bridges, among other things. Their work is still performed under the direct supervision of a licensed dentist. Some of their other duties include placement and shaping of amalgam, and other restorative products. To practice as an EFDA in South Carolina, one must graduate from a Commission of Dental Accreditation accredited program, or complete two years of continuous full-time employment as a chairside dental assistant.
