Andrews Federal Credit Union Collects Toys for Children in Need
(PRWEB) December 22, 2015 -- Andrews Federal Credit Union recently donated a box of toys to benefit Kristi’s Christmas. The toys will be distributed throughout the Fairfax County Public School System to children in need.
Fairfax County Public Schools sponsor a “Last Chance Boutique” where school counselors and social workes can pick toys for their students so no one goes without during the holiday season. This year, Andrews Federal Credit Union’s Springfield Branch designated a box for member contributions.
“While most are looking forward to receiving gifts this season, we are continually looking for ways to give,” said Enola Thaboun, Springfield Branch Manager. “We truly appreciate our members who donated to this wonderful cause.”
About Kristi’s Christmas
In 1987, Kristi, 19 years old, was suddenly taken from her family and friends in a tragic beltway auto accident. Because Kristi had a special place in her heart for children less fortunate than herself, following her death a fund was established to help some of the neediest children in Fairfax County. All year round, generous donations by caring individuals allow Kristi’s Christmas to continue that mission.
