Andrews Federal Credit Union Supports Operation Yellow Ribbon
Suitland, MD (PRWEB) August 10, 2015 -- Andrews Federal Credit Union continued to show its support of the nation’s troops through its support of Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey. The Credit Union’s New Jersey Region Branches collected items for the troops overseas to be included in weekly care packages shipped to the service men and women deployed overseas.
Last year, over 41,000 pounds of treats and loving reminders from home were shipped, and the organization is on pace to exceed that amount in 2015.
“On behalf of myself and all our members, as well as those serving our country while deployed in Afghanistan and the Middle East, thank you so very much for your generosity and support,” said David J. Silver, Operation Yellow Ribbon of South Jersey. “Thanks to your items, our group can continue to send care packages to our brave women and men deployed in harm’s way.”
