His boss, Professor Alastair Repton, the rector of the University, not a new person, but a very tough and totally honest man and Tony’s mentor since the early days when Tony was still a graduate student, is a strong and necessary supporter of Tony and his team.
A live computer called Elysia has been developed and was introduced to the University. With a much larger than human brain, Elysia is capable of self initiated programming and far outstrips conventional computers in computing power. The computer has developed a climate forecasting model which predicts the available land space for a viable human population to be much below present and future population densities. This requires study into how humanity can be reorganized to remain a viable, civilized and societal species not in danger of extinction.
Extraterrestrial navigations to find a place to relocate humans are impracticable with existing technology. If all else fails, extreme conditions will result. Survival of the fittest, as the law of nature dictates, is the only recourse.
With the problems faced, Tony needs to persuade Governments and their peoples of the dangers and plan for this difficult future. He needs to recruit people like himself to assist in an endeavor for concerted effort never before attempted. The priority is to save the human race from impending chaos and extinction. Hitch is, the New People are scattered the world over and an assembly leading to the discovery of their suppressed identity would be construed ill. They have long covered their individuality and coming out could endanger their lives.

About the Author
Angelo Gualtieri trained as an engineer, and worked most of his life in engineering related activities. He started his working life as a research engineer, and retired as the Managing Director of a shipyard he helped to found. Having spent much time writing reports, he turned to stories in his retirement.
